Welp, it’s happening. The holidays are here once again, and for people like me (and hopefully youuu too;) you know what that means! Holiday MOVIES! That’s right. ‘Tis the season that all those darn movie people bust out what are sure to be box-office hits; which means for us viewers, that we can expect a lot from them. And guess what? We are in luck, because this holiday movie season is bringing IT. For you I have created my list of the Top 5 Movies to See Over the Holidays.
Fri. Dec. 13th
This would make Jennifer Lawrence on the list twice, but she’s earned it. Not to mention Bradley Cooper will grace us with his presence (right??) in this movie also. If ya saw ‘em in Silver Linings Playbook, you already know you’ve gotta see them again, but I suppose I could tell you a bit about the movie first. The movie follows two con men Irving and Sydney forced to work for the FBI, where they run into a lot of violence and mafia interactions, while Irving’s wildcard wife (Lawrence) threatens to interrupt the whole operation. Hope to see you there! 🙂

Yes, I’m partial to Vince Vaughn, Yes this movie is a ridiculous concept, but wait, Anchorman 2 is on this list. So, as I was saying, Vaughn’s character, stuck in deep financial debt, has been donating sperm for some time and finds out that he ‘fathers’ over 500 kids, thanks to a mix-up at the clinic. His mission: to act as a “guardian angel” to each one, and yep, along the way he makes friends, learns lessons, and shows his soft side. He takes the risk all in an attempt to win over his pregnant girlfriend and prove he has changed for the better. We saw his softer side in The Internship and loved it. Awww… After that comedy, I bet he will be great in this one too, no matter how silly the concept. That’s why we love him after all. His aloof nature and tree-like stature, you can’t help but laugh with.

The Legend Continues- We all know the curse of the sequel, but come ON. I have a great feeling about this one. Gotta see the movie at least just out of curiosity, or pure joy! All I have to say is, ““It is anchorman, not anchorlady. And that is a scientific fact.” — Champ Kind”

Anyone hit up the midnight premiere? Thoughts? Ready for the third one?! That’s what I thought. . .
The Collins phenomenon continues, for all you Katniss fans out there. I’ll be going for love of Jennifer Lawrence, but this movie should have ya at the edge of your seat the whole way through. 😉

And. . .yep, I had to throw in an artsy one. Based on Markus Zusak’s novel, this film follows Liesel, a young girl living in Nazi Germany, becomes fascinated with reading after she steals a book from a book burning. Meanwhile her parents help to hide a Jewish refugee in their basement. While we’re at it, I’d also recommend the book; the friendship between the young girl and the man unfolds so charmingly, you can’t put down the book.
Good luck out there, movie buddies! Grab some popcorn (I suggest sneaking candy in . . .ahem) and enjoy!
