1. Fun.

The name pretty much describes the band, and the show they put on.  Their sing-along tunes take on a ballad-esque quality that is alike to Queen and their upbeat tunes make it hard to sit still. The boys in Fun. know how to belt it and will be gracing the stage of Lollapallooza, among others this summer.

Best Tracks: We Are Young, Some Nights, Stars

Fun.

Meet Fun. They are indeed pretty fun to watch on stage

2. SBTRKT

Pronounced like the math tool, subtract, you so dearly loved in elementary school, SBTRKT is the stage name for UK mucisian and producer Aaron Jerome. Jerome’s mix of chill beats and dubstep will make for a great live experience, indeed. SBTRKT will be getting the party started at Bonaroo.

Best Tracks: Something Goes Right (feat. Sampha), Wildfire (feat. Little Dragon)

Don't let the masks fool you, these guys are pretty cute.

3. Santigold

This bad ass chick demands this stage with her soultry voice, while throwing in techno-like beats that carves a genre of its own. Irresistable not to dance or sing along to, Santi White, known as Santigold, just released her second album in April of 2012 and will be performing at Electric Forest in Rothbury Michigan this summer.

Best Tracks: Lights Out, Disparate Youth, I’m A Lady

This badass chick puts on a killer show

4. Fitz & the Tantrums

A playful mix of soul and indie, Fitz & the Tantrums will have you on your feet dancing. They have quality male and female vocals, backed up by a great band, complete with bass, drum and a talented saxophonist, who also plays trumpet and flute as well. This band will be jammin’ at Wakarusa in early June.

Best Tracks: Breakin’ the Chains of Love, L.O.V., Money Grabber

5. Empire of the Sun

This catchy electronic music band from Australia apparently puts on quite a show. The videos of their live shows kindle memories of David Bowie, with over the top hair, makeup and outfits. However, in 2012 this band can take Bowie to the next level with giant screens and insane light shows. Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself.

This band performed last year at Austin City Limits and there are rumors in the air that they may return for round two!

Best Tracks: Walking on a Dream, Half Mast
